Changing Your Password

Instructions for users to update or reset their password in PharmAcademic.

 This task allows all users to reset a forgotten password, update an existing password, and regain access if their account is locked. 

Important: Passwords must:

    • Be at least 9 characters long
    • Include at least one letter
    • Include at least one number
    • Include at least one special character (!@#$%&*?)

Request a New Password

Use this method if you cannot access your account.

  1. Go to www.pharmacademic.com.
  2. Enter your email address in the PharmAcademic Email field.
  3. Click the Reset Password button.
  4. If you have entered a password authentication phone number, you will be asked how you want to receive your authentication code – email or text. If you have not entered a phone number, you will only have the option to use email. Note: You can add or update your password authentication phone number in My Profile > Account > Edit Profile. This number is used only for password recovery and is not visible to other users.
  5. Enter the 6-digit code in PharmAcademic and click the Submit Code button.
  6. Enter a new password in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields.
  7. Click Save Password.
  8. Select the login link provided to return to the system.

Change Your Password

Use this method if you are already logged in.

  1. Log in to PharmAcademic.
  2. Select the Change Password link from the Home page.
  3. Enter your Current Password.
  4. Enter a new password in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields.
  5. Click the Save Password button.

Locked Accounts

Accounts will be locked after 10 unsuccessful login attempts within a 30-minute period.

What happens: You will see a lock message on the login screen and receive an email notification.

Next steps: Wait 10 minutes for the account to automatically unlock. Try logging in again or use Forgot Password to reset your password
