Selecting Evaluation Options
Instructions for RPDs and Designees to select evaluation and evaluation scale options.
This task can be completed by the RPD or Designee.
Before You Begin
- ASHP prefers the use of standard ASHP evaluations and scales.
- Custom evaluations and scales must be created in PharmAcademic before they can be selected.
Summative Evaluation
Evaluation Options: The ASHP standard Summative Evaluation is required for all programs.
Scale Options: Programs may choose to use a custom scale; however, ASHP prefers that programs use the standard scale. Update by going to Manage Program > Competency Areas.
Standard ASHP Summative Evaluation Scale:
- NI = Needs Improvement
- SP = Satisfactory Progress
- ACH = Achieved
- NA = Not Applicable
Preceptor Evaluation
Evaluation Options: Programs can use either the ASHP standard Preceptor Evaluation or a custom Preceptor Evaluation. ASHP prefers that programs use the standard ASHP Preceptor Evaluation.
Scale Options: Programs can use the ASHP standard scale or a custom evaluation scale. Update by going to Manage Program > Program Details.
Standard ASHP Preceptor Evaluation Scale:
- Never
- Sometimes
- Frequently
- Always
Learning Experience Evaluation
Evaluation Options: Programs can use either the ASHP standard Learning Experience Evaluation or a custom Learning Experience Evaluation. ASHP prefers that programs use the standard ASHP Learning Experience Evaluation.
Scale Options: Programs can use the ASHP standard scale or a custom evaluation scale. Update by going to Manage Program > Program Details.
Standard ASHP Learning Experience Evaluation Scale:
- Consistently True
- Partially True
- False
