Adding A Protocol Specific User To Vestigo

Typically, only site-level Vestigo System or Security Administrators can add new users. However, individual sites may modify these default permissions as needed.

Every Vestigo user, either site user or a protocol specific user, must be linked to a contact created by the site in the Address Book. This article covers adding a Protocol Specific User, which may be an internal monitor or a study coordinator. For Vestigo Site Users, please reference this article.

Adding New Protocol Specific Users to Vestigo

If you have not added the user as a contact in the site address book, please check out this article to add a user to the address book.

  1. Hover your mouse over Main at the top right of the screen and click on Application Administration
  2. Click on the Add/Edit User Accounts under User Accounts and Security
  3. Click on Add New User
  4. From the drop-down menu, select the contact and click select.

If the contact record does not exist in the drop down menu, they may already have a user account associated with their contact record. Uncheck the Active Users flag and confirm if they have a pre-existing account.

  5. Enter a Username that will be associated with this user and click on Check Username

Usernames are unique and cannot be duplicated.

  6. Leave the Identity Provider as what populated by default. Modifying this can break the user's ability to authenticate.
  7. Do not check the Billing Portal Access flag
  8. Check the Protocol Specific User flag

A Protocol Specific User cannot also be a Site User. It is one or the other.

  9. Click Save.

The user will receive an email about the new account created. If the user is experiencing issues upon sign in, ensure they are signing in at the unique URL for the site.
