Merging Duplicate Participant/Subject Profiles

In certain instances, you may accidentally enter a participant/subject multiple times into Vestigo. If the profiles are duplicates of each other, you can merge the profiles into one profile. 

 

Permissions Needed

AdminMain – Access the application administrative menu

MergePatients – Ability to merge patient profiles 

 

The following actions are permanent and cannot be undone by the site or Vestigo Support. Please use extreme caution and be sure the profiles need to be merged.

  1. Hover your mouse over Main at the top right of the screen and click on Application Administration
  2. On the left side, click on the Merge Patients/Subjects link
  3. On this screen, Medical Record Number 1 is the record to keep, and Medical Record Number 2 is the record to merge into Medical Record Number 1

     
  4. Once you enter the subject MRNs, click Search
  5. The results will display information related to each MRN and what protocol numbers each profile is enrolled into.
  6. Clicking Save will merge Record 2 into Record 1. 

If the merged subject record (record 2) was enrolled into a protocol, it will automatically be replaced by retained record (record 1).
