Vestigo Version 5.4.2 Point Release

Vestigo Version 5.4.2 Release Notes

Release Date: May 16, 2023

Enhanced Vestigo Security and Clarification of Vestigo Role Permissions

Our Vestigo release for version 5.4.2 is mostly focused on enhancing our Vestigo Security and Permissions. We recently sent out documentation regarding these changes which include:

  • The Protocol Snapshot and Edit Protocol permissions that allow users to view, use, and edit a protocol will be separated into permissions for each individual protocol tab.
  • To interact with a protocol, you must have the appropriate permissions in at least one of the facilities associated with that protocol.
  • To interact with inventory (i.e., receive, dispense edit, transfer, adjust, send out), you must have the appropriate permission in the facility where the inventory location exists.
  • Users will only be able to retrieve reports for facilities where they have a role with a report’s permission form. This will also limit General Reports access by report type and facility.
  • Other Vestigo client-level screens, such as Temperature Excursion, will include a facility selection filter based on the facilities a user has a role in. This will limit them to adding and editing functionality for only those facilities.
  • Users will only be able to edit user accounts and edit facility-level settings for those facilities where they have with a role providing access to Application Administration (i.e., System Administrator or Security System Administrator).

New Facility Filter for Inventory on Prescription Screen

A filter will be added for facility to control what inventory should display when entering a prescription. The dropdown will include the facilities available to the user based on their role and those permissions. The default facility will be the facility you are currently logged into. This will help to display only inventory that should be available for that user to select from.

New Interactive Par and Reorder Point Forecasting

We will add a new Par and Reorder “calculator” to the Inventory tab on a protocol. “Par and Reorder Points” will be available for all full tracking drug builds where “Manual Reorder” is toggled on. The functionality will include system-built formulas to estimate a new reorder point per certain variables such as number of patients, units per dispense, and cycle length or days between visits. When the screen is saved, the values will automatically update the drug build Par and Reorder Points. Ordering Instructions and Drug Comments from the Drug Build screen will also be pulled into this new screen to allow users review other drug related details that may impact ordering.

New Protocol Inventory tab Pop-Under Displays Inventory QOH Across Facilities

To increase visibility of inventory quantities, we will add a new “View” link to display quick details about inventory across facilities. The “View” section will include a column for QOH, soonest expiration date, and returns quantity (based on the “return quantity” and “return unit”). These details will assist users in their daily inventory management tasks.

Updates to Patient Visit: Upload Documents and Column for Prescription Service Date

To expand on the Vestigo functionality for “Patient Visit”, we will add the option to attach documents before or after the dispense and a column “Filled by Rx” that will display the prescription number associated with that visit.

New Templates: Return, Destruction and Return to Sponsor Comments

To encourage standardization, we will also add a template option for:

• Return Log Comments

• Destruction Comments

• Return to Sponsor Comment

These template builds will also be available within the drug and order builds to link up during prescription returns.

Updates to Reports Screen: Reports will be Segmented by Report Type

The general reports are segmented into five (5) sections. Each section has its own page for easier navigation. The report sections will be Inventory, Protocol, Prescription, Workload, and Monitor Visit.

“Current Inventory Report” will be renamed to “Protocol Inventory Report”

We have received requests to align the name of the “Current Inventory Report” with the report header as well as the title on Vestigo Verify. The Current Inventory Report will be retitled “Protocol Inventory Report”.
