Vestigo 6.0 changes

This list is not final and will be updated as needed.

URL Updates

With React, there were modifications made that impacted authentication into the application. If your bookmark is listed as https://sitename.vestigo.biz, there is no action needed.

However, if your bookmark is saved as https://login.vestigo.biz/..., you will want to update your bookmark to your unique site URL.

Alternatively, you can delete the existing bookmark, then navigate to your site URL, login using your credentials, then bookmark the Protocol Search screen. This method will always use the correct login redirects.

React

  • Vestigo now loads webpages faster when you navigate protocols, sections, or menus.

  • Placeholders appear while data is loading, helping users anticipate the layout of content and making the wait seem shorter.

  • Pages load without a full reload. Queries are cached in the browser, so revisiting a location shows previous data instantly and updates it quietly in the background. This is indicated by a progress bar that runs across the page as the page loads.

  • New font for improved readability (especially between i's and l's).

  • The enhanced HTML Editor provides advanced text modification capabilities for areas supporting adjustments such as font size and italicization. This interface, resembling a Word-like textbox, offers features including bold, italics, alignment, font size and color selection, among other options.

  • New and improved Calendar/Date Pickers when users click on the calendar icon to select a date.

  • Multi Select menus have a more modern look when viewing and selecting options.

Along with Vestigo 6.0, there have been additional changes made to the application that enhances user experience.

General

  • The Vestigo and McCreadie Group logos have been updated.

  • A Logout Timer now displays to users when they are approaching the inactivity timeout. Users can choose to log out or extend the session with a click of a button. The warning displays at 3 minutes remaining.

  • Users will no longer see the duplicate login screen. Vestigo now uses browser cookies to maintain active sessions. As a result, if you close and reopen your browser and return to your site URL within 29 minutes of your last activity, you will be automatically logged back in.

  • Upon submitting data in Vestigo, each input field is highlighted with a colored border and accompanied by an icon to clearly designate whether the entries are allowed or require further review.

  • Validator messages, commonly referred to as “toasts”, display after a user clicks save/submit. This lets users know if their action was successful or if a data entry needs another review.

  • All drop down menus now sort items in alphabetical order.

Users will no longer be able to select a time when generating the PDMP Prescription Report. Dates will still be selectable.

  • When item grids with pagination are displayed on screen, users will no longer be able to utilize the Show All option. The max allowed will be 150 rows per page.

  • The header section in Vestigo has been revised to align with contemporary UI standards.

    • Application Administration is now located directly on the screen and can be accessed with one click on the Admin link.

    • A new user action menu has been added that is represented by a circular portrait icon.

    • My Account and the Switch Facilities links are located under the user action menu.

  • Your Vestigo account security roles are now displayed in My Profile by facility and presented in a clearer format.

  • The blue Save button has been replaced with a blue Submit button.

  • Tooltips, also known as helper/hover text, are now more prevalent within the application. If something that should be a link but isn’t for the user, you can hover your mouse over the text and a tooltip should display additional information.

  • The green Global Navigation Menu now requires users to click on a menu option to view the options nested sub-menus. This is to help avoid accidentally hovering over a neighboring menu option and cancelling out the one the user intended to select.

  • Numerical fields now feature up and down arrows for mouse-based quantity control. These arrows will increment or decrement in whole numbers.

  • When users scroll down the page, an icon will show up on their screen. Clicking this icon lets them return to the top of the page quickly.

Protocols

  • In areas where documents were available to view within Vestigo, the verbiage and click actions have been standardized. The links will now indicate “Download”, instead of View, and always download. In certain browsers, the document will automatically open in a new tab.

  • In areas where users can upload documents to protocols, the hyperlink previously labeled “Manage Files” has now been updated to “Add New.”

  • When users need to upload documents to individual transactions, the "Manage Files" hyperlink will remain unchanged, but users will be required to click on the "Add New" hyperlink to add a document.

  • When users upload a file to Vestigo, the file upload menu disappears confirming the file upload.

  • When a file name is changed in Vestigo, the downloaded file now reflects the updated name.

  • If filtering Monitor Visits by date, you will now be able to locate visits easier with the improved filtering logic.

  • You can now use the Return to Patient/Subjects hyperlink to quickly go back to the patient/subject tab on the protocol whenever you access a participant’s profile from that protocol.

  • Users can no longer process a refill for someone who has been inactivated in the arm the prescription was dispensed from.

Inventory

  • Manage Drug Returns still separates drugs by current disposition, however, instead of radio buttons, they are now individual clickable tabs.
  • When viewing individuals drug returns, the information now displays on a new page versus a pop up window. The return modifications, such as “Delete this Return”, now display as tabs when viewing individual returns.
  • Shipment receipts can no longer be received with a future date.
  • For protocols that require shipment receipt verification, the timer no longer needs to be manually updated if you are waiting to self-verify/override. The timer will automatically update, refresh the page when verification is allowed, and allow the user to verify inventory, if permitted.
  • When inventory requiring shipment receipt verification or barcode validation has been verified or overridden, the verified time stamp will now accurately reflect the facilities time zone instead of UTC.
  • When users receive, adjust, or immediate transfer inventory, a user must select a drug from the drop down menu before they can view and enter data relating to the inventory, such as lot number, item number, etc.
  • When adjusting inventory, the current inventory will now display the total QOH for the selected drug instead of the QOH from the first item in the Inventory drop down menu, if you have not selected an item in the inventory drop down menu.
  • or transactions that require verification, such as Shipment Receipt Verification or Barcode Validation, the verification times now display in the local Facility time zone correctly on inventory grids.
  • When adding a reorder log to a manual ordered drug, the time will now display on the reorder log grid.

Application Administration
  • If a user does not have permission to access a certain area of Vestigo, the text will still be visible but the hyperlink will no longer be clickable for that user. This applies to but not limited to: Alerts, protocol links, or App Admin links.
  • Pagination has been added to Application Roles and Permissions, and you can now filter for specific roles.
  • When adjusting Role permissions, you can now filter permissions by the category of permission.
  • A new flag has been added, Show Accessible Forms Only, when adjusting Role Permissions. This flag filters out all unchecked permissions and shows only the available permissions for that role.

User Permissions

  • The "InventoryReturns" permission no longer drives the ability to access the "Manage Drug Returns" hyperlink on the protocol. Instead, all return operations are tied to "DrugReturns".

  • The ability to add new workloads and billing fees during the review or closure of a monitor visit will be governed by the "EditProtocolBilling" and "EditProtocolWorkload" permissions, respectively. The "MonitorVisits" functionality, which enables users to add or close a monitor visit, will permit modifications to existing workloads and fees that already existed on the protocol.

Billing
  • The cancel button has been replaced with a “Return to…” button on Bulk Charges. This mirrors the rest of the application.
  • When Validating Bulk Charges, the column text has been updated from “Row Validates” to “Charge is Valid” for clarity. The checkmark icon has been removed and it will now display a success or error validator.
  • Helper text has been added to the top of Bulk Charges Upload indicating that “Only valid charges will be submitted.”
  • When viewing account level charges on a billing account in Billing Management, the page has an updated header of “Billing Account Charges”, and the “Add New Charges” link has been moved to the “Charges for this Account” section.
  • Additionally, the “Close” button has been updated to a “Return to Billing Accounts” navigation link when viewing the Billing Account Charges.
